Vijay's talk on suffering

What were the main characteristics of the early church and what can we learn from them? James concludes this short series on the Day of Pentecost by highlighting 10 transferable principles which make for healthy churches and healthy Christians.

Florence continues her series on the fruit of the Spirit and, in this message, looks at faithfulness. She considers God's faithfulness, biblical examples of faithfulness, and relational faithfulness where she suggests ways in which we can demonstrate the fruit of faithfulness in our relationship with God and with people.

James continues looking at the significance of the Day of Pentecost. On this occasion, the key which helps unlock our understanding of Pentecost is the first proclamation of the Christian Gospel by the Apostle Peter. Peter preached Jesus Christ, crucified, risen, exalted, and the complete and only Saviour of sinners - and 3000 people became Christians!

Vijay's talk from Sunday 13th Oct 2013

Vijay begins a 2-part series on the importance of financial generosity to our discipleship. In this sermon he notes the great model of generosity the Macedonian churches provide for us. Their example teaches us that ultimately the radical generosity God calls us to is only possible when we are enabled by God. Such generosity is not dependent on the size of our bank balance but the size of our God. When we exercise such radical generosity, we not only bless others but find ourselves blessed and enriched for giving. It is by surrendering ourselves completely to God that we tap into the strength of God that enables financial generosity.
