King Herod flew into a murderous rage at the birth of Jesus, revealing the way the world has often responded to Christ and his church.    We might be tempted to downplay our relationship to Jesus, but that would be counter to our calling.

A sermon based on  Malachi 3:12-18.    The followers of God will sometimes wonder if they get anything for following God.   They also have trouble seeing the difference between them and those who don't follow God.   Malachi explains how there is rather big difference between those who believe and do not believe;  only it has not been revealed yet,  but it will be in the end when the book of remembrance is opened. 

Who are the blessed ones?  Those who have come to depend on God's mercy.
