In this final message, Tim considers the depths of the love of Jesus for his people and how much he looks forward to those times that we spend with him. He shows how that can be the antidote to our grumbling and a game changer in the way we think about our quiet times, our church services, and our small group meetings. Above all he shows how Christ never tires in his love for his people. He finds us beautiful and wants to draw us again and again into his love.

In his second sermon on intimacy with Christ visiting speaker Tim Chester considers how dryness in our spiritual life can be the gateway to a season of renewed passion for the Lord Jesus. He links Song of Songs to Jesus' words in Revelation to the church in Laodicea, where Jesus stands at the door of a lukewarm church and knocks on their hearts. Tim encourages us to think what attracted us to Christ in the first place and then think afresh about how we grow in that love.

In this sermon Pastor Neil Todman looks at how the Old Testament Passover in Egypt was fulfilled by the death on the cross of Jesus Christ. He considers how in preparing for his own death, Jesus prepared the way for us to be ready when our own time comes to leave this world and meet our Maker. As part of our ongoing whole church Bible reading programme (RBT- Read the Bible Together) pastor Neil Todman introduces the book of 1 and 2 Samuel. He shows how the book of 1 Samuel follows on from Judges and particularly the longing for a king. He shows how the book follows the story of three main characters- Samuel, Saul and David- and how each of them was prepared for their service of the Lord, then prospered, but later in life all three plummeted. He then looks at how these stories point us forward to Christ in his offices of prophet, priest and king. He finally shows how examples in 1 and 2 Samuel should give us a longing to be men and women after God's own heart.
