In this sermon Pastor Neil Todman looks at how the Old Testament Passover in Egypt was fulfilled by the death on the cross of Jesus Christ. He considers how in preparing for his own death, Jesus prepared the way for us to be ready when our own time comes to leave this world and meet our Maker. He looks at Judas' refusal to repent and the ways we might do the same. Finally he finishes with the Good News of the gospel, and the ways the death of Jesus shapes how we respond to our past, our present and our future.

As part of our ongoing whole church Bible reading programme (RBT- Read the Bible Together) pastor Neil Todman introduces the book of 1 and 2 Samuel. He shows how the book of 1 Samuel follows on from Judges and particularly the longing for a king. He shows how the book follows the story of three main characters- Samuel, Saul and David- and how each of them was prepared for their service of the Lord, then prospered, but later in life all three plummeted. He then looks at how these stories point us forward to Christ in his offices of prophet, priest and king. He finally shows how examples in 1 and 2 Samuel should give us a longing to be men and women after God's own heart.

In this sermon, Sam Pibworth contrasts the attitudes of the religious authorities and Judas to the unrestrained devotion of the woman who anointed Jesus with expensive perfume. He shows in this how seriously she took the words of Jesus about his own immanent death. He then challenges us as to where our own hearts are with Jesus. Will we love Him as she did?

In this sermon, PSC church member, Tim Howlett unpacks Simon Peter's sermon on the Day of Pentecost. He shows how Peter used Old Testament Scripture to reveal the identity and mission of Jesus Christ. He emphasises the work of the Holy Spirit in drawing people to Jesus Christ. He underlines how essential it is for us to preach Christ and Him crucified, and that we also need to call those around us to repentance and faith, including that first step after conversion of being baptised. This is really good medicine for all of our souls!

In the build up to Easter, Trainee Pastor, Sam Pibworth opens up one of the most important prophecies about Jesus Christ in the whole of the Old Testament. He explores the identify of the Suffering Servant. He explains why He sacrificed himself for us, but also that his death was never a defeat nor the end.
