God wants to refine our faith, He wants to strengthen it. He wants us to see Him as faithful. He does this by asking us to sacrifice, to trust that He is better than the things that we are holding onto. It is only then when we discover that our God is faithful to us and that He can do the impossible.

As men and women of faith, we ought to see ourselves as sojourners, exiles, strangers in this world. This world is not something for us to conquer

We often think of faith as something that is somber and serious, but God shows us through the life of Sarah that there is great laughter and enjoyment living a life of faith.

In faith, we trust God not just for our eternal salvation, but in our daily lives. We are called to step out into the unknown, to welcome discomfort as we follow after our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The question is not "Do you fear?"The question is "What do you fear the most?" All humanity fears, the question in not do you fear, but what do you fear. We can fear the the opinions of others or we can fear the opinion of God. Fear is fundamental aspect of our faith and establishes a right relationship with God.

There is only one way to please God, to trust in Him. We sped our lives living for our own purposes and yet our Creator desires to walk alongside us in this world. Jesus reconciled us to the Father so that we could walk with Him daily and in this,find the peace we've always been looking for.

The greatest one-word question you can ask yourself is "Why." Why do you do what you do? What is your motivation behind your action? What drives you at your very core when you do even a good thing? In Hebrews 11:4, Abel's motivation behind his sacrifice is rooted in his faith in the Gospel of Jesus. It is this same faith that should fuel our whys behind every action, always responding to everyone as if it's a response to the Gospel itself.

What is Faith? Why does God value Faith? How does it affect my life? Should it?

The New Covenant does more than simply establish a contract of peace between us and God. In the New Covenant, God is the actor that fulfills His own demands on our behalf. He rescues us from ourselves. Jesus cleanses us from our sins, God gives us a new heart, the Holy Spirit enables us to see the things of God. The trinity works together for our good and ultimately for God’s glory.

God promised David that his offspring would reign forever. That there would be a King from his descendants that will shepherd us, save us, and cleanse us forever. Jesus declares himself to be this King and He is preparing us for His kingdom.
