For the next three weeks we are going to be looking at Romans 14:17 where Paul explains what the kingdom of God is like - righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Today we looked at righteousness which relates to our standing before God and also how we treat one another in the Body of Christ (Romans 14:17; Genesis 18:19; Jeremiah 9:23; Jeremiah 22:3: John 15:9-12).

This Sunday Justus showed us how to practically seek the Kingdom of God through stillness, reading the Word, and intercession.

Today we here from Joshua Sorrows, former Normandy Elder and current pastor of Crow Hill Bible Church in Bailey, Colorado.  Joshua shares from Deuteronomy 31:1-8 about God's purpose for the space between prophetic promise and fulfillment.  God has never changed.  His promise of assurance, encouragement, and comfort to Moses and Joshua are the same for us today: I am with you.  Be strong and courageous.  I will never leave you nor forsake you.

This week we looked at God's heart to commune with His people. When we meet with Him it is always for a purpose - to know Him, receive from Him, and see His Kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven (Matthew 3:13-7;  4:17; 6:9; 10:5-9; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

This week we looked at the Tabernacle of Moses to give us template for how to worship the Lord. Through Moses and the people of Israel we see God's heart meet with His people in order to partner with them in seeing His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven (Exodus 19:1-6; Exodus 25:1-8: Exodus 34:5-9).

This week we learned about the "why" of worship. John, the author of Revelation, has a vision of heaven and sees God as holy, creator and redeemer. We have the choice to worship Him here and now in hopes of seeing His kingdom manifest in our midst (Matthew 6:9; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Revelation 4 - 5).

This week we looked at the goal of worship - that Christ would be exalted, making his kingdom and his domain manifest on earth as it is in heaven. The fruit of his dominion (rule, reign) is freedom (Psalm 100; Matthew 4:17; Matthew 6:9; John 4:23; 1 Corinthians 6:19; 2 Corinthians 3:17: Colossians 2:7).

This week we looked at setting our minds on the things of God so that the atmosphere of our lives reflects that of His Kingdom. One way we do this is by setting our minds on the Spirit and taking thoughts captive (Matthew 4:17; Romans 8:6-8; 2 Corinthians 10:3-6).

This week we refocused on the Kingdom. We looked at both the future hope of Christians along with the daily hope of Christ's sustaining grip. (Matthew 4:17; 1 Corinthians 13:13; Romans 8:18-25; Romans 5:1-5)
