Mark Heger concludes the Culture of the Kingdom series by addressing the topic of judgement.

In this sermon Mark Heger continues the series of the Culture of the Kingdom as he talks about Comfort. Using 1Corinthians 1:3-4, Mark describes why living an uncomfortable life is actually better for us and the people around us. When we are uncomfortable, God is able to comfort us and then He allow us to use that comfort in order to help comfort others.

This week Justus Murimi shared on patience as a part of the culture of the Kingdom. Reading from Joel 2:28 and Acts 2 we learn that before power there is a time of patience.

This week we were reminded of Jesus' desire to see His church, the body of Christ, bring about His kingdom and continue His work on the earth. A key component of how that happens is knowing that we are members of Christ's body and that we belong to one another. The Father gave Jesus a new body, the church, to minister to each other and to the world (Ephesians 4:25; Romans 12:5-6; 1 Corinthians 12:27; 1 Corinthians 14:1-3).

This week Associate Pastor, Justus Murimi, preached on racial reconciliation. The heart of the message was about being a people driven by a Heavenly vision. Ephesians chapter 2 gave us the background where we find in Christ, God has removed the dividing wall that separates us from Himself and from each other (Ephesians 2:1-22).

Jesus ends the Sermon on the Mount with a series of choices - two types of gates, disciples and foundations. He invites people to chose Him and His kingdom and it is something that we must do daily (Deuteronomy 30:18-19; Matthew 7:13-27).

Having taught His disciples to pray, Jesus then teaches them what will keep them (and us) from advancing the kingdom - treasures! We are made to treasure Christ above all, but if we love our treasures and possessions more than Christ, we will be led into anxiety and fear. (Matthew 6:19-44)
