It’s important to reflect on those who came before us, their faith, and how God us acted toward us. How he daily provides for us and forgives our sins, to learn to be gracious.

Remember you are dust and to dust you will return

Todays feast day teaches us to celebrate and trust in Jesus Christ in the glimpses of His glory which he graciously gives us before suffering and struggle. Holding onto this vision of glory, we dive right in, knowing it leads to God’s glory.

How can we do what Jesus commands us?

Will you choose the way of the Lord? Or the way of man? Where do you put your trust?

Luke 5:1-11; Luke 18:18. Tied together, linked by the events of Peter and the Christian’s call to follow Jesus.

What ties together an Old Testament Prophet, St Paul, and Peter, and you? Do I deserve to be left behind or forgotten because of my sin? Is that what God does?

Doesn’t speaking with authority drive people away? If the demons speak of Jesus as the Son of God, why don’t I ever do that? Does knowing He’s the Son of God do me any good?

Why won’t the prophet he accepted in his hometown? Why couldn’t Jesus do a miracle for the boys? He sat and gave his sermon???

How does changing water into wine manifest Jesus’ glory, let alone mean he is Messiah?
