How do we prepare the way of the Lord for his coming each day in our lives and for the Last Day?

Stay awake, and watch.

Jesus begins the Church year with his entrance into Jerusalem, prepared as a sacrifice. He is the one who came, who will come again, and who comes to you each day and in each divine service.

Is Jesus only King in our hearts? Or is he King of all things? Why does Pastor kneel all the time during service??

Why would Jesus say the temple and Jerusalem would be torn down? Why does he crush our dreams of gazing into the crystal ball for end times predictions?

With angels and archangels?? And ALL the company of Heaven?? What in the world???!

Does the Gospel, the Word, set us free to do, consume, take, and hurt whoever or whatever we want? By no means!

What does it feel like to be far away from home, blind, and begging? Can Jesus lead me home from even there?

The stuff and relationships that hold you back from fearing, loving, and trusting Jesus above all things, must be left behind. We gain a much larger family and a much large house in our Christian family. How do we begin this relationship? Baptism. The new Sabbath Rest. Jesus brought us there in our Baptism and returns us there whenever we remember it.

Surely the days of Amos the prophet are nothing like today…. Right?
