As we begin our new series, "The Gospel B.C.", Pastor Santiago walked through the fall found in Genesis 3:1-5. God's consistent response to human failure has always been 'I got this.' From the Garden of Eden to present day, He demonstrates His redemptive love through a perfect plan. Satan's deception led to sin, shame, and guilt, but God immediately promised a solution through Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus conquered sin and death, restoring our relationship with God and offering victory to all believers. This redemptive plan shows God's unwavering commitment to rescue and restore His people, regardless of their failures.

Pastor Santiago continued our series on Christ's mission for us by looking at Matthew 28:16-20. Christ's command to make disciples comes with His divine authority - the power to represent His kingdom. This mission involves actively reaching out to others, helping them transform through baptism, and teaching them to follow Christ's commands. True discipleship creates transformed individuals who become bridge builders to the lost, operating under Christ's authority while never being alone in their mission. The formula for effective discipleship combines information, inspiration, and application to achieve transformation.

Pastor Santiago started a new series, The Harvest, as we walk through Matthew 9:35-38 and learn how we can partner with God in his mission. God calls us to actively participate in reaching those who don't know Him, following Jesus's example of going to people rather than waiting for them to come to us. We must develop Christ-like compassion, seeing people as harassed and helpless, looking beyond surface behaviors to recognize their pain and brokenness. This mission requires partnership - praying for workers, building relationships, and sharing the Gospel through both words and actions. The key is to begin with prayer, listen to people's stories, and create genuine connections that open doors for sharing God's love.

Pastor Rob shared a devotional with us during our PJ's and Pancakes Family Worship Service as we wrapped up 2024. Procrastination can hinder both our daily tasks and spiritual growth. By understanding the reasons behind our delays—fear of failure, lack of motivation, and feeling overwhelmed—we can begin to address them. Jesus' words in John 14:23-26 remind us that loving Him means obeying Him, and the Holy Spirit is there to guide us. By submitting to God's will and taking action today, we can overcome procrastination and embrace God's purpose for our lives.

Pastor Santiago shared the story of when the Three Wise Men went to visit Jesus found in Matthew 2:1-12 at a special Christmas Eve Service. 

Pastor Santiago concluded our final week of our Advent series, Hopeful Expectation. During Advent, we reflect on the threefold coming of Christ: His past incarnation, His present presence through the Holy Spirit, and His future return. Christ's first coming fulfilled prophecies and brought salvation. Today, the Holy Spirit guides and empowers us. We live in anticipation of Christ's return, which will bring justice and eternal peace. This understanding should inspire gratitude, obedience, and a life of purpose.

Pastor Rob shared a message from Matthew 1:18-2:6 as part of our Hopeful Expectation series. In this Advent season, we are reminded of God's faithfulness through unexpected people, places, and circumstances. Joseph's story teaches us to trust God's plan even when it disrupts our own. The Magi's journey shows the importance of seeking Jesus with faith and sacrifice. The theme of Emmanuel, God with us, reassures us of God's presence in our daily lives. Let's trust, seek, and celebrate the hope we have in Christ.

Pastor Santiago continued our Advent Series, Hopeful Expectation this morning. In a world filled with uncertainty, where do we place our trust? Isaiah 7:1-14 teaches us the importance of relying on God rather than our own understanding. Through King Ahaz's story and the prophecy of Emmanuel, we are reminded of God's sovereignty and His call for unwavering faith. Ahaz's reliance on human solutions led to complications, while God's promise of Emmanuel points to Jesus Christ, the ultimate sign of God's presence with us. This week, challenge yourself to trust in God's plan and seek His guidance in all areas of your life.

Pastor Santiago kicked-off our new sermon series, "Hopeful Expectation" this morning.  As we enter the Advent season, we are reminded of the anticipation and hope that surrounds the coming of Christ. This message explores 'Hopeful Expectations,' drawing parallels between historical events and our current lives. It encourages us to look forward with hope and faith, just as the people of Israel awaited the Messiah. The role of Bethlehem, and the promise of a Savior are highlighted, reminding us that God often uses the least expected places and people to fulfill His divine plans. Micah 5:2

Pastor Santiago concludes our Body Armor Series.  Ephesians 6:10-18 calls believers to equip themselves with the Armor of God to stand against spiritual warfare. The armor includes the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. Prayer is essential for wielding this armor effectively, urging continuous communication with God. Embrace the Armor of God daily and commit to persistent prayer to strengthen your spiritual defenses.
