How much would you extend yourself if you knew the odds of people thanking you for what you've done would be 1 in 10? This lesson from Jesus' ministry teaches us somethign special about gratitude and the role it plays in our relationship with our Savior, AND with each other!

When humans were created, the final touch was for God to "breathe into his nostrils the breath of life." Talk about a gift that keeps on giving! This breath has continued without much though on our part. It is a constant reminder that every moment we have on this earth is a gift from God. Why is that important to remember? And what difference can that make in our lives?

At WordServe, we always say, "Life is Different." But why? Authentically living the life of a Jesus follower can be the most transformative experience we'll ever have. It also makes for a powerful witness to God's redeeming love. So, how do we live a life that's different?

A vehicle won't travel very far without fuel. And faith won't travel very far without a source of continuous renewal and guidance. How can we attain that endless supply that keeps faith going, no matter what the obstales may be? Fortunately, we have a leader that both guides AND supplies!

Clear vision helps us see what our mission and values will look like when lived out. On the other hand, a lack of clarity in vision can cause disorder and chaos, for individuals and for society. How do we get, and maintain, a clear vision of God? How does that help us live out our mission and values in a way that honors God?

Your "To-Do" list will reflect your values. As a Jesus follower, what should we value, and how does that impact the way we live and spread the gospel? Scripture repeatedly tells us that love is the most important thing in our walk with Christ, so how do we love with God's "real love?" In Jesus and in Scripture, we learn that God's love is a transforming and redeeming love. In short, God's love changes everything!

We are called to make disciples, not converts. Too often we call a conversion a success without recognizing the need to carry out the rest of the mission: teaching people how to follow Christ. We'll discuss some ways to continue to grow in Christlikeness, first for ourselves, and then for others.

The Bible is clear: each part of the body of Christ is necessary, even though different. But when imperfect humans are in fellowship with each other, there will be hurt. Even the heroes of the faith were hurt and hurt others. What was their secret that allowed them to continue as the Body of Christ and bring glory to God? How can we do the same?

The tounge is small but mighty. The same tongue that can praise can cut down and have massive impact on communities and nations. But the tongue doesn't act on it's own, it's just an outpouring of something deeper. We'll learn how to not only control the tongue, but the engine that drives it, so we might be builders rather than destroyers.

How much trust do you put in someone who says, "Do what I say, not what I do?" Surveys show that a number of people avoid church because of the hypocrisy they find there. How can we become a body of Christ that is trustworthy, even if we're not perfect? Maybe the answer lies in embracing a process rather than projecting perfection.
