If the ultimate goal is reconciliation (according to God's plan), we must learn what it means to live in covenant, communicate for reconciliation, and love with God's love. Is it easy? No. Is it worth it? Ask Christ on the cross and then choose your next steps accordingly.

Do you feel distant from God? Perhaps it's guilt and shame from things that we've done that keep us distant. Or perhaps it's a hard and stubborn heart that blocks the flow of God's love through us. Either way, God has a simple, yet profound message for you today: "Come Home!"

Conflict doesn't happen in a vaccuum. A person who would honor God must examine hard questions, like "What is my part in this conflict?" and then own it. If we miss this essential step in reconciliation, we will ultimately miss reconciliation altogether. How can we do that when we so often want to blame someone else for the conflict?

Some call it a "tactical pause," during which we lift our concerns to God so that whatever follows is something that can honor God. A good question to ask in this pause is, "How can I honor God in whatever happens next?" What are some ways we can make this happen?
