As we celebrate Palm Sunday it's easy to miss how this one event fulfilled so much of the Old Testament in one brief moment. This week we looked at Exodus 34 when God identified himself by his name and his attributes. Listen to see how God loves his people! And he even loved the nineties! (gotta listen for that one!)

All too often we think we know better than God. We think his timing isn't right so we take matters into our own hands. We say we trust but then our actions show that we really trust our ability to provide more than his. This week Pastor Derrick shares a heartfelt message about what happens when we really pray the way God invites us to pray.

What do you do when you're afraid? Do you clam up and freeze? Do you come out arms swinging? There are really only two responses to fear. One is to fearfully flee. And the other is to faithfully follow. Which is your normal reaction when faced with fear? This week Pastor Derrick shares with us an important truth about why fear shouldn't keep us down. As we look at fear we'll look at it through the lens of past and future. How does your past shape your future? It's pretty simple. Your past isn't a prison meant to keep you down. It's a springboard for where you're headed.

We're a selfish bunch now aren't we! We fight what's not ours and claim it as our own. We want what we can't have and seem to never be content with anything! Listen this week as Pastor Derrick shares what it means to be content.

In this week's message we see that there are four keys to helping us understand who Gideon was and what God was trying to accomplish through him. The four points that Pastor Derrick covered were:

1. God's ways are not always our ways but His ways are always better!

2. God answers us when we cry to him in desperation.

3. God fights for his people by fixing their hearts before fixing the world.

4. It's God's call that matters most, not our strength.

The one thing to remember through this week's message is that God will always be with us even when it seems as if we're alone to fight for ourselves.

Water is important to our day to day lives but how often we even think about it? If the majority of our bodies are made of water, then why do we not think about it more? Throughout the bible water plays a vital role in the lives of God's people. We look specifically at the account of Moses striking a rock and water flowing out of it. Listen this week as Pastor Derrick shares that the rock in Exodus 17 has a greater significance for you and me today! Then be prepared to strike the rock in your own life.

It's tempting to think we know it all. It's tempting to think we can do it all! When we look at the law we sometimes fall into the idea that we can somehow do the right things and make God show us a little favor. But that's not how this works. We don't do stuff to earn a place in good standing with God! So if this isn't the case, what's the purpose of the law? How do we talk about obedience? And what's the most important thing for the follower of Christ to get a handle on? Listen as Pastor Derrick shares a pressing reality of who God is and what his plan for our lives truly is.

Throughout the book of Exodus we find a struggle with God's people trying to do God's work their own way. But that's not how it works. We're not called to follow God in a way that's convenient to us. We're called to follow him in the way He tells us to. This week Pastor Derrick brings us to the most challenging moments in our lives. He puts us between a rock and a hard place. Then reminds us that to find our way through we need to stop trying and start trusting the presence of Christ in our lives.

Throughout the story of the Israelites exodus from Egypt we can see the plan of God on full display. The plan of God never changes. It's consistent because he is consistent. He's never changing. The planning the garden was to be with his people and that hasn't changed. In Genesis 3, God laid out the way in which he was going to be with his people and here in Exodus 12 it's on full display.

Listen this week as Pastor Derrick connects the plan of God in Genesis with the demonstration of that plan in Exodus and the fulfillment of the promise in Revelation.

The summary thought this week is *The blood of the Lamb turns God's judgment into mercy.*

When God created the heavens and earth, what was his plan? It's easy to think the garden was the plan, but how could that be? If the garden was the plan, then Adam was able to disrupt God's plan. But what if God's plan wasn't the Garden? What if His plan was to be in a place of perfect unity with his children? What if the plan all along was to send Son to redeem His people? What if it was never about a location to begin with?
