In this account, we see Jesus stop as He is on his way to Jerusalem so that He might show mercy to a man whose faith provides us an example, Blind Bartimaeus.

In chapter 2, Micah prophesies specifically against the greed and covetousness of those who oppress and ruin others. And he reminds those who refuse to speak God’s truth about such oppression that they are not real preachers

The challenge for the Church is often seen as being whether the Church will believe what God says and that He means it when He speaks.

God brings judgment on Egypt and her gods through the plague of darkness.

This King is a delivering King, born to redeem for Himself a people. And this King is the great and glorious God.

Christ reminds them that He came to be a servant and to give His life for their sins and for ours.

Perhaps one of the greatest miracles that the Bible describes is the coming to earth of the Son of God.

Jesus tells the disciples there is a great cost to following Him, but there is great reward as well- both in this life and in the life to come.
