Jesus is at work in the lives of believers, through His grace and mercy and through the instruments of His ministry to them.

While this text focuses on Christ’s interaction with the children who were brought to Him, it has much to teach us about the nature of His Kingdom and the hearts of the disciples.

The Church is the one body that is united, not by common interest or demographic affinity. It is brought together by the Person and Work of its Savior, Jesus Christ.

Because we have been shown mercy in Christ, we can and will show mercy to others, even those whom society casts aside.

Jesus always thought of others and put His own interests aside. His life was one of sacrifice and service.
