The world needs Jesus Christ, and we are to live in such a way that we reflect the Lord Jesus before a watching world.

Jesus gives us an instance of how to approach someone, how to see the real need in others’ lives, and how to share the good news of the gospel in a way that is both pointed and patient.

In the pivotal 8th chapter of Mark, Jesus poses an all-important question to His disciples- “Who do you say that I am?”

In Psalm 96, the Psalmist declares God’s glory before the world.

We must be confident in the Lord’s power and provision and we must be burdened to share the good news of the gospel with those with whom we come into contact.

Jesus is the answer for this blind man, and he is the answer for the disciple’s spiritual blindness as well.

In contrast to the abundance of bread that Christ provided for the Gentiles, the disciples demonstrate a severe lack of understanding of Christ and His mission.

While God is responsible for salvation, people are responsible for the judgment that comes on their sin, all for “God’s Sovereign Glory.”
