The old framework of the law served a purpose...  to point to the need for Jesus.  So once he fulfilled the Law, how do we respond to it...   Love is the key and this word speaks with honesty about how this should happen, and brings apologies for when it hasn't.

Shavuot celebrates the 'Earthy', agricultural blessings between the barley and wheat harvests.  It was on the day of this festival that Moses climbs Mount Sinai and encountered God's presence in the Thunder of the wind and Fire.   Spring forward 1200 years and we have a group of men and women meeting in a room, on the day of the Shavuot feast, and they hear a thunderous wind and fire comes upon them....  Today we explore why Holy Spirit used these familiar symbols to reveal himself to them and begin a whole new season for humankind.

Time to unpack a bit of scripture...  Luke 13:10-17   Jesus heals a woman in the synagogue, upsets the leader and ends up putting him in his place... but is that what the punchline is in the story? With a bit of middle eastern mindset we can see that we need to look deeper to find the meaning...  Join Steve as we discover where some of this fresh thinking is changing the way we view quite a few Bible texts!

Easter Sunday was a special day.  The message talks about the amazing love that Jesus has for us, not just because he died in our place to pay the price of our sin (which is true), but that there is much more to it than that...   His motivation and passion.  Have a listen to find out more!
