Jesus sends his disciples out into the world "like lambs into the midst of wolves" to spread the good news.

This is Father Paul's last sermon as rector of St Peter & St Paul's.

Do you trust Jesus? It sounds like a simple question, but when a Roman Centurion asks Jesus for a favour, how does he respond? This centurion demonstrates love, compassion, and humility. And a faith which Jesus finds marvellous.

In Acts 2 the Holy Spirit appears as promised, in noise and fire, and anoints the disciples with gifts for mission: character, content, and compassion.

Today we’re celebrating that the Holy Spirit was poured out and continues to be poured out on those who put their faith in Jesus Christ.

In Christ we are united to God; we share in his mission, we share in his glory.
