Paul is writing to Timothy, his protégé, from a prison where he awaits his martyrdom. He wants Timothy to see what God is doing. He wants Timothy to know that God is able to transform hearts and fan into flame His transforming Spirit.

Jesus has been crucified and buried and Luke tells us the disciples are hiding out of fear of the Jews. But is this all? What else might the disciples fear? And thousands of years later we who have not seen but still believe, tremble at the approach of the risen Lord. What do we fear?
