The Apostle Paul continues his instructions on how to stand firm in the spiritual war, moving from those basic pieces of armor which we are to wear daily, to those pieces which we are to take up at the onset of a spiritual battle.

In this psalm of praise, David calls upon all creation to give glory to Yahweh as he proclaims Yahweh’s glory, power, and dominion over every aspect of His creation, as well as His covenantal faithfulness to His people.

The Apostle Paul continues his instructions to the Ephesians on how to stand firm in the spiritual war, by explaining the basic uniform god has given his people to wear daily, as they walk in the midst of a spiritual battlefield.

The Apostle Paul concludes his exhortations to the Ephesians to walk in a manner worthy of their calling, by issuing them commands and principles concerning spiritual warfare, How to prepare for it, and how to wage it.

David expresses both his desperate need for God to respond to his pleas for redemption from, and retribution upon the wicked, as well as his bold confidence that God hears his prayers, And will redeem him from his enemies.

As the Apostle Paul continues to exhort the Ephesian believers in the specific details of how they are to walk in a manner worthy of their calling as Christians, he transitions from those commands concerning the roles and relationships in the home, to instructions concerning those in the workplace.

David reaffirms his confidence in Yahweh's steadfast love and covenant faithfulness to him, through many assertions of his trust in Him as his protector, His delight in Him as provider and his hope in Him as his redeemer.

As the Apostle Paul concludes his instructions on the Christian home, he turns his attention from the commands for children to address fathers, as the head of the home, in how they are to be faithful in raising their children.

David pleads with Yahweh for vindication and deliverance from his enemies, which he argues for on the basis of his integrity, faithfulness, blameless life, his love for Yahweh, and trust that He will deliver him from his enemies.

The Apostle Paul turns his focus from addressing the adults in a Christian home, to now instructing the children of Christian parents concerning God’s designs, commands, and promises for them.
