The Apostle Paul expands upon his command to the Ephesians to continually examine their walk, by transitioning from principles of wisdom and stewardship in light of God’s will, to the aspects of their worship and behavior.

David praises God for the revelation of His glory in the particular aspects of His creation, the specific words He has spoken through His prophets and recorded in the Scriptures, and the Law He has written upon mankind’s heart.

In light of Paul’s exhortations to the Ephesians to walk in a manner worthy of their calling, to no longer walk as unbelievers do, to walk in love as Christ loved them, and to walk as children of light, he now commands them to continually examine their walk to ensure that they are walking within God’s will.
