The book of Genesis recounts God’s creation of a perfect world, the fall of man, God’s judgment and the unfolding promise of the gospel. It’s here we first learn that God is not only the all powerful transcendent creator, but is also our loving and gracious heavenly Father who goes to magnificent lengths to redeem His people.

Christmas is all about the glory of God in the salvation of sinners. God the Son adds flesh to His divinity and enters into the world he created, in order to rescue us from the curse we brought upon ourselves.

Christians are called to live on mission for Christ (Matt 28:19-21) and thus the devil and his emissaries want nothing more than to take us down. If we’re going to stand firm in walking in a manner worthy of our calling, then we must utilize the resources given us by God when He saved us.
