God has gone to great lengths to reconcile the whole world back to Himself. All who are part of this new creation in Christ are called to live accordingly.

Christians must grow in loving God and the things He loves while rejecting the things that are opposed to God and lead us to move our affections away from Him.

Jesus, the new and greater Adam and the new and greater Israel, went into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil and to succeed where all others failed. He is, therefore, the only one that can save us from our sins and help us in our own times of temptation.

Friendship with God and friendship with the world do not mix, so surrender everything to God.
