Darkness. That’s a heavy word. It’s often associated with being cold, alone, and afraid. To be in the dark is to be separated, vulnerable, and in danger. Without light, we stumble around blindly. We’re directionless, and unless the darkness lifts, we’re in trouble. Humans need light to thrive. That’s why darkness is a spiritual metaphor in the Bible for separation from God. When speaking about his mission, Jesus announced “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Christmas is about our rescue from the darkness. Join us this Christmas at GraceLife for a special service @ 10am. “The Light of the Whole World.”
