Citizens of heaven are committed to the program of heaven, adopt the culture of heaven, and an obey the laws of heaven. This text doesn't encourage an escapist mentality. Nor does it discourage living boldly in the world and seeking to do as much good as possible. Quite the opposite. We are citizens of heaven now, a colony of heaven, from which our Savior will return and claim what is rightfully his, namely the entire world.

The ultimate safeguard of your soul is found in rejoicing in the Lord.

Christians are called to live in such a way that we shine as bright lights in a dark world.
