Angels are amazing beings, created by God and existing for his glory. But Jesus is infinitely greater than angels!

God's aim in the book of Hebrews is to give you joyful, courageous endurance to follow Jesus all the way to the end. Through trials, suffering, setbacks, losses, and ongoing struggle against sin. To not give up or give in, but to keep going. And this is something God gives - graciously and powerfully to persevere!

The fullness of God's kingdom is yet to come, but we are invited to enter into it and experience it in part, here and now.

Most of us would feel we had it pretty rough if we were clutching onto a piece of wood, in a stormy sea, desperately trying to make it to shore. But sometimes that is how God’s work in your life feels.

Psalm 23 describes a man who has total confidence in the Lord. And he has total confidence in the Lord because of the Lord’s total commitment to him. The foundation of David’s confidence is a God who is completely trustworthy. He cannot lie and He does not make promises he is unable to fulfill.

We open our Bible this morning and read another story that assures us that God really is there. He really is aware of us, and watching over us, carefully overseeing the events in our lives and guiding our lives with his loving plan and purpose! And he is doing this even through the violent storms in our lives!

The mission of Jesus in your life is to turn you from one thing, to something drastically different! Being a Christian is a complete shift in realities, old things are passed away, behold all things are made new! Salvation is not a small adjustment to our lives and our schedules. It is not giving Jesus some space in your life once or twice a week. It is the most complete total transformation that a person can ever go through.

The resurrection of Jesus has a continuous present power to touch and transform our lives in a very direct sort of way.

Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday shows him to be our sovereign, triumphant, gentle, and gracious King.
