With the Thanksgiving season upon us, Adam encourages believers to view gratitude not as a holiday, but as a habit. The study includes a closer look at two of Paul's "thanks be to God" statements. These provide a grid through which true, lasting, and habitual thankfulness must flow.

Having called for a Biblically qualified leadership, the Apostle Paul now turns to explaining the need for such leadership in the local church. The dangerous reality of false teachers and false teaching demands an eldership that is qualified in character, gifting, and doctrine.

While the popular notion of our culture is that many ways lead back to God, Jesus has a different message entirely. This week Adam unfolds the beginning of the conclusion to the Sermon on the Mount and the hard reality that there is only One Way to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Orthodoxy and humility are two necessary sides of the same coin. Without orthodoxy, humility will only earn Hell. Without humility, orthodoxy shamefully steals from and distracts from God's glory.

Elders must have personal belief in right doctrine that enables them to teach and rebuke others.
