Our guest speaker, Doug Loveday, spoke about the peace of Christ in a troubled world. Jesus is the Prince of Peace, and He is with us in the midst of all things. Because we belong to Christ, all will be well.

Sermon Series: Why Jesus Our guest speaker, David Barker, reminded us that anything we want to find or see in God the Father is found or seen in Jesus Christ. When Jesus was in the Upper Room with His disciples on the night before He was crucified, Philip asked Him to show them the Father. Jesus said that He was the perfect revelation of God the Father. As we dwell on this truth, we are led to worship.

Our guest speaker, Josh Pegg, spoke about the priority Bible should have in our lives.

Sermon Series: Unwrapping the Promises of Christmas Our guest speaker, Adam Hockley, spoke about the gift of hope. Through the prophet Samuel, God promised a king that would reign on David's throne forever. We have hope in King Jesus, the fulfillment of that promise. Our hope is alive because it is personal, it is restorative and it is certain.

Sermon Series: Unwrapping the Promises of Christmas Our guest speaker, Randy Hoffman, spoke about the names of the Messiah prophesied in Isaiah 9. He is our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace.

The Messiah would come from an unexpected place - the little town of Bethlehem - but would shepherd his people and bring peace. God works though unlikely places and ways to fulfill his plan of salvation.

Sermon Series: Unwrapping the Promises of Christmas Our teaching pastor, Gary Goodkey, began our advent series by focusing on the gift of light from Isaiah 9. In a world of darkness, God promised a great light. This promised Light has come in Jesus Christ. Now we have the light of Christ to take into a dark world.

Sermon Series: Helping People Find and Follow Jesus Our guest speaker, Kris Konig, spoke about the importance of mentor relationships in the church. "The mentorship relationship is the surest 'ship' for discipleship." Jesus modelled mentoring with His disciples during His ministry on earth. Scripture commands older men to be an example to younger men and older women to teach younger women. It's impossible to mass produce disciples of Christ - they are made one at a time in the context of relationship.

Sermon Series: Helping People Find and Follow Jesus Our guest speaker, Phil Bauman, spoke about the universal call of Christians and the church to participate in global missions, taking the gospel to those parts of the world that have limited access to it. We can do this by adopting a global perspective, praying for missionaries, learning about and respecting other cultures, giving to global mission, and going on mission.
