This Resurrection Sunday, we celebrate the greatest victory in history Jesus is alive. In Luke 24, the empty tomb declares that death has been defeated and the work of Calvary is finished. Through His resurrection, we are reconciled to God, given new life, and invited to believe and receive the salvation He secured for us. This message calls us to give all glory to God and respond in faith, because the same power that raised Christ is still at work today.

In this passage, David is overwhelmed by fear and makes questionable decisions to survive, but even in his panic, God’s mercy, faithfulness, and protection never leave him. While David leans on his own wisdom, God still shows grace and delivers him. This message reminds us that in moments of fear and uncertainty, we’re not called to compromise or rely on ourselves, but to trust in God’s wisdom and promises. Even when we fall short, our Father remains faithful. So when fear rises, don’t run, turn it into faith. Trust Him, follow Him, and remember: His mercy meets you even in your mistakes.

In this passage, David is on the run from Saul, hungry, vulnerable, and without a weapon. Yet in the middle of his desperation, God provides exactly what he needs: bread to eat and the very sword of Goliath. This story reminds us that even in our hardest moments, God’s providence is at work. When we feel empty, uncertain, or unprepared, He is still the one who provides. The invitation for us is simple: trust God as your provider, even in seasons of fear, lack, or uncertainty.

“There is none like it; give it to me.” – 1 Samuel 21:9

In this passage, Jonathan faces a painful choice: stand with his father Saul’s jealousy or align with what God is doing through David. When family loyalty collides with kingdom loyalty, Jonathan chooses covenant faithfulness over comfort. This message reminds us that our highest allegiance must be to God’s Kingdom, even when it costs us approval, reputation, or relationships. Following Christ means putting His purposes first and protecting what God is building instead of tearing it down.

The question for us is simple: Where does our loyalty truly lie?

Choose God’s Kingdom. Build friendships rooted in calling. Stand courageously with what God is doing.

In 1 Samuel 19:18–24, David runs for his life, but instead of being captured, God turns every attack into a moment of divine interruption. The Spirit of God overwhelms Saul’s messengers, and even Saul himself, proving that no scheme can stop what God has ordained. This passage reminds us that God sovereignly protects His anointed and restrains every enemy plan. When opposition rises, our call isn’t fear or retreat, it’s faithfulness. Trust God’s protection. Keep walking in your calling. What He has purposed cannot be overturned.

“The Spirit of God came upon him also…” – 1 Samuel 19:23

In 2 Corinthians 4, Paul reminds us that following Jesus doesn’t spare us from suffering, but it gives our suffering purpose. Although he experiences pain, weakness, and loss, Paul sees it all as worthwhile because of the eternal glory being produced through the Gospel. This message calls us to rethink suffering, not as something to avoid at all costs, but as something God can use for His will. We will suffer in this life; the question is what we suffer for. Let it be for the Gospel and not for things that fade.

This passage teaches us how to walk through life’s trials with joy, not because suffering is easy, but because God is at work through it. Scripture reminds us that not all suffering is bad; some of it is purposeful, shaping and refining us into who God is calling us to be. Instead of fear, complaint, or rejection of God, we’re invited to trust Him in the process. When we see trials through the lens of faith, we discover that God is producing endurance, maturity, and lasting hope in us.

“Count it all joy…” – James 1:2

This passage reveals a powerful contrast: Saul is driven by jealousy and fear, while Jonathan walks in obedience, courage, and kingdom love. Jonathan’s faithfulness supports God’s plan even when it costs him position and approval. God advances His mission through those who choose obedience over comfort and faith over fear. This message calls us to lay down jealousy, celebrate God’s work in others, and remain faithful when spiritual battles arise.

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men…” – Colossians 3:23

In this passage, Saul is gripped by jealousy and fear, manipulating and attacking David in an effort to hold onto power. But David’s success isn’t tied to position or control. It flows from the presence and favor of God, which no enemy can cancel. This message reminds us: true advancement comes not through striving, but through faithfulness, humility, and obedience. Even when others oppose you, God’s favor will establish you. Choose faithfulness over fear, and keep walking.

“The Lord was with David and made him succeed…” – 1 Samuel 18:14

James 2 confronts a hard but necessary truth, partiality has no place in the people of God. We're called not to favor the powerful or overlook the overlooked, but to live out the royal law: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” If the Church is going to be a true community, we must reflect the heart of a God who shows no partiality. Real community isn’t built on preferences; it’s built on love.
