In this passage, we see three people respond to God’s plans in completely different ways: Jonathan supports them, Saul resists them, and David walks in them and succeeds because God is with him.

This message reminds us that being for God means walking in step with His purpose, even when it's costly or hard. If we trust Him and align our lives with His will, we can be confident that He is with us in every circumstance.

“The Lord was with David…” – 1 Samuel 18:14

David didn’t face Goliath with human strength; he stood in covenant confidence, knowing the battle belonged to the Lord. While Saul offered armor, David trusted in the anointing. And when he struck the giant down, it wasn’t just a victory for Israel, it was a revelation of what happens when God's people walk in bold faith and spiritual authority.

This message will challenge you to recognize the giants confronting your life, reclaim your God-given identity, and step into victory with faith, obedience, and clarity.

“The battle is the Lord’s…” – 1 Samuel 17:47

What we feed our hearts will always show up in our lives. Jesus said you know a tree by its fruit, and the foundation we build on reveals whether we’ve truly obeyed Him or just heard His words.

A life rooted in Christ doesn’t stand strong because of effort, but because of surrender. Abide in Him. Obey His Word. Let Him bear the fruit.

“Abide in me, and I in you… apart from me, you can do nothing.” – John 15:4–5

This week we’re in John 1, looking at why the Incarnation matters, not just as a seasonal truth, but as the foundation of our salvation.

Jesus didn’t just come, He came as fully God and fully man. Only God could redeem us. Only a man could succeed where Adam and Israel failed. Christmas means more than a manger scene, it means the eternal Word stepped into history to save us.

“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us…” – John 1:14

In 1 Samuel 16, we see a dramatic shift, God’s Spirit leaves Saul, and a harmful spirit enters in its place. But even in Saul’s unraveling, God is at work. David’s quiet obedience and skillful worship bring him into the palace, not by ambition, but by divine placement.

You may not understand what God is doing in your life, but trust this: He’s sovereign over everything. Your call is to obey Him now, so you don’t miss what He’s preparing next.

“God is not the author of confusion, but of peace…” – 1 Corinthians 14:33

This week’s message is all about eternal investment. Jesus calls us to store up treasure in heaven, not in things that fade, but in things that last forever. The truth is, we may never fully see the return on our time or our giving this side of eternity… but one day, we will. And when we do, it’ll be worth every second and every sacrifice. We’re not just giving, we’re building. Let’s Build the Church.

This week, we’re in the story where God chooses David, the youngest, the overlooked, the least likely, as the next king. Why? Because God sees differently than we do. He delights in using the unexpected to display His power. If it doesn’t make sense to you, that’s okay, trust His way anyway. God knows best, and His plans never miss.

This week’s message looks at a turning point in Scripture. Saul’s final act of disobedience that leads to his rejection by God. He consistently chose what seemed right in his own eyes and in the eyes of others, but not in the eyes of the Lord. We’re reminded that partial obedience is still disobedience, and the cost is real. God calls us not just to say sorry, but to truly repent, to turn from our ways and walk fully in His.

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” – Matthew 10:38

Whether you're walking in joy or waiting in faith, there’s a seat at the table for you. Come ready to give thanks, worship deeply, and be reminded: God has been good. And He’s not done yet.

In this week’s message, Saul once again shows us what happens when you lead without trusting God. His foolish oath brings trouble, causes the people to sin, and nearly costs his son Jonathan his life. Disobedience always leads to chaos, but wisdom begins with trusting what God has already revealed in His Word and in Jesus. Don’t follow Saul’s example, follow Christ.
