Most people know of something that would make them gag or even vomit if they were to eat it.
Maybe even thinking about that item gives you that funny feeling in the back of your throat or in the pit of your stomach.
Part of it may be just the idea of eating it and part of it might be the taste or texture.
At times, we also use the statement that "Just thinking about it makes me sick to my stomach!"
In this case, we might be describing something going on in our lives or in culture and society.
Can you imagine a church that makes Jesus sick?
Can you imagine being in a church that makes Jesus sick?
That’s the position the Laodicean church found itself in. What was going on there was not pleasing to the Lord. They were in trouble and didn’t even realize or know it.
