Serving Up Witchcraft & Magick at the Young Crones Cafe

As an Extra, the Crone is talking about some ideas about Affordable Witchcraft, something we believe has become even more important as we all are struggling with higher gas prices and general inflation/supply chain issues. Many Witches believe you need all the fancy, expensive stuff to be a “real” Witch, but we dispute this idea and offer some suggestions for a budget friendly approach.

As an Extra, the Crone is discussing the idea of becoming aware of conflicting energies. As people, there are times when our insides don’t match what is going on around us outside. In other words, our personal energies may be in conflict with the seasonal energies.

Grab a cup of coffee and join Elizabeth, a Young Crone, and Dave, a Modern Sage,  two Witches who been sharing for many years as they discuss The Path, a modern Tradition of Witchcraft, and various other Witchy and life topics from a slightly more mature perspective. Su has moved on, but her spirit lives on in our minds and hearts. You can enjoy the conversations, whether you have been practicing for a while or if you are just Witch curious. Some Witches use the craft simply for magick and spellwork, but for them it has grown to be a religion where they work to connect with the Divine of the Universe.Today we begin featuring some different topics about our beliefs starting with the concept of Immanent & Transcendent Divine. The featured Witchstone Card is the first of the four Cross Quarters which is Candlemas. Finally, this week’s Witchy Tip focuses on the value of repetition in ritual.

Su was one of the founders of the 2 Young Crones and my partner in crime for all of our crazy & not so crazy ideas over the last 15 plus years about what and how we would attempt to create our own meaningful practices of Witchcraft.

Su never shared about her personal health while podcasting but she had been struggling with metastatic breast cancer for a while and it finally won. She started having severe respiratory distress and after a brief hospitalization made the decision to move to hospice care. She has gone on to what the two of us always called our next big upcoming adventure. She was my best friend and the one who held me up during the worst time in my own life and she will be missed.

As you can imagine, there will be changes to the podcast going forward. Dave, her husband, is going to step up and become the second Crone so we will be releasing a new episode May 24th.

We have never said a Crone had to be a woman and whether he sticks with that designation or finds one of his own you will just have to wait and see. We will continue with at least some of our current format, but there may be some changes to what we do.
