Breaking away from Facebook has been long overdue, but for reasons you may be able to relate to. I ask that you listen to this episode and evaluate your heart as God called for me to do. I got mad yesterday. I was wanting to throw a pity party for myself actually. But my default mindset is Jesus Christ, and even in the mundane “tribulations” of life, God asks for us to seek Him out so He can continue to sanctify us through His power. Enjoy.

Hitting on my personal perspective on people’s want, especially the younger generation, to get “likes” on the photos we put out there. I experienced this myself over a decade ago (I am old) and it gave me a false sense of identity and value. My own kids are in this culture and it requires a constant reminder of their worth and value given to them by God, not “like” counts or followers. Share this with them this episode and see what kind of conversation it stirs up.

Set yourself apart (be holy) with everything you do in life, even your social media presence. Are you posting with a hope to convince someone of something, which only causes conflict? Are you trying to simply be antagonistic? Both are not Godly and do nothing to glorify God.

Do you ever consider the influence of what you put out on social media and how it influences what comes back to you to view? Something that was developed to connect us does the exact opposite, and it is wreaking havoc in the church as well!

Our youngest son Haddax (Dax) was diagnosed with autism and sensory processing disorder a little over a year ago. His life, his world, has ministered (and challenged) everyone in his life. He does not feel sorry for himself, so neither should we. We love you “Dee-Bo”.

Just want to give you a “sniff” of my marriage and what I have learned this far in 9 years. I have learned that I want me wife to be married to different men throughout our marriage- because I am called to always grow which means always change as we get older together. Love is work...and it is God’s work- so it is GOOD.

My ramble about family life, especially parenting. I have learned that being a step-parent should not determine you seeing your step-child as anything other than your child - regardless of who their mom or dad is.
