Here to SET THE TONE is my dear friend, Melisande Turpin.
Melisande is a yoga teacher, studio owner and dedicated student who has been practicing yoga for more than half her life. She was born into a family that believed in the power of yoga and was influenced to begin her practice at a very young age. She believes that it is her dharma (duty) to share Yoga with as many people as possible: "I want others to be able to experience the same transformational effects that I have received from the practice. I firmly believe that each time you step onto your yoga mat you are committing yourself to a practice of self-reflection, discovery, and love. My ultimate goal is to inspire others to believe in themselves the same way my teachers have inspired me".
After completing a degree in business management, Melisande decided it was time to follow her heart and travel to India to complete her first yoga teacher training in 2016. After returning from India, she began teaching right away and has not stopped since. Melisande sees herself as equally a teacher and a student. She is dedicated to the practice of yoga and wishes to spend a lifetime learning, sharing and evolving. She has completed over 1000 hours in trainings including ashtanga yoga, vinyasa yoga, aerial yoga, yin yoga, barre fitness, FRS inspired mobility and studied with incredible teachers such as Kino Mcgreggor, Erin Evans, Lydia Zamorano, Sean Corne, Matt Phippen, Meghan Currie, Bernie Clark and Carrie Owerko. She teaches a variety of styles including hot yoga, flow yoga, power yoga, yin yoga, aerial yoga and mobility practices.

In this episode, I sit down with my good friend Chris Wainwright, who wrote the best bio I’ve ever received for anything, ever:
Chris is a human man. He did a degree in physics, went to grad school for the same thing, and gained a fundamental understanding of the way the universe works. He then found out that doesn't really help you feel better about your own existence, and became very confused.
Currently he is the Director of Marketing for a software company in Toronto, an expectant father, and worse at golf than he wants to be.
He believes 90% of the world's problems arise because the average person can't sit still in an empty room for 24 hours.
Anthony told him he could write literally anything he wanted CHAIR CEILING BOBMARLEY CHICKEN in his bio.
We discuss the distinction between abstraction and experience, claim why monks are cheaters, and define a clear, comprehendible framework for what it means to be truly present in one’s life, so that we can aim to embody that state of being legitimately.

On this episode, Joshua Coleman sets the tone with deep topics ranging from our psychological shadow, the nature of awareness, inner transformation, and what the fundamental structure of the ego is. The conversation gets deep, but stays light - the riffing of two longstanding friends exploring consciousness and the nature of such therein.
Josh has been a meditation instructor for years, but beyond that, he's been producing incredible content that simplifies self awareness, emotional maturity, and grounded spirituality.
One of my favourite things about Josh is his ability to bring balance to otherwise polarizing topics - his perspectives bring an integrative approach to life, and allows for the whole spectrum to exist. Everything has its place, and he helps show you where that place is.
