Seventh day-Adventist Church of Adairsville

We can find ourselves saying thank you as a reaction to something nice being done to us. But do we really get the benefits of all the latest science on gratitude and appreciation only when something good is happening to us? Can we be appreciative even in the lows of life? In this message we take a look at a turning point in the Kingdom of Israel - all hinging on King David saying Thank you!

Kanye. Beiber. Selena Gomez. Carlos Santana. It seems like becoming a Christian is the new cool thing. Has that ever happened before? How do you know if someone is a Christian and is converted? Does it matter and should we even judge anyone for anything? Some say Christianity today is nothing more than paganism masquerading under a new outfit? Let's discuss

At the close of time, the Bible describes a condition of the followers of Jesus as status quo, lukewarm and calling themselves christians but perhaps not really being sincere. How do we know if this describes us? How do we stand when our name is called?

Perhaps there is no more divisive topic in Christianity. How are we saved? By our faith? By our works? What if I told you neither? Perfection may be something we thought we knew, but we may be wrong.

Are we waiting on another time prophecy? Are we waiting on some event? What is it that stands between the second coming and the followers of God today? Perhaps not what many think.

The Light of the World // Frank Sierra

Thomas Edison was called the light of the world. Did you know his last invention was one he may have given the most time to. It was a device to communicate with the dead. This is the season of talking to the dead, this message reveals what may actually be going on.

Many look at this sin as laziness. But it’s much deeper than that. Sloth is having the ability to act and choosing not to. Having the ability to do what is not and choosing not to. This is so relevant in our world today where many are shying away from doing the right thing.

There are 3 inanimate objects in the Bible that cry out to God. Why? How? What is the lesson for us as we relate with God?

Perhaps there is no sin more broad and all encompassing than Greed. The Bible calls the love of money the root of all sin. How can that be? Has Greed made America great or could say that Greed, the unshackled pursuit of individual wealth, has turned from vice to virtue.

In this episode we talk about how frustration can lead to anger. But is there another path away from anger that we can walk on?

“Anger always comes from frustrated expectation”-Elliott Larson.

Frustration prolonged breeds anger. Frustration prolonged also breeds depression because a frustrated person sees everything as a problem and becomes negative.

26  Do not let the sun go down on your anger. - Ephesians 4:26

Wayne Dyer states “Anger is a choice as well as a habit.  It is learned reaction to frustration in which you behave in ways that you would rather not.  In fact, severe anger is a form of insanity.  You are insane whenever you are not in control your behavior.  Therefore, when you are angry and out of control, you are temporarily insane”.
