This episode with Adam Lindo got a bit serious and political as we discussed the real life horrors happening with U.S. immigration practices, as highlighted in Adam's most recent acting role as I.C.E. Agent "Clitvack" on season 7 of Orange Is The New Black. He has also played a detective on Blue City, a gritty show delving into real life horrors of gang violence, drugs, and corruption. When he's not appearing in Above the Shadows, Blindspot, The Blacklist, Bluebloods, Power, and other shows and films, he's managing a barber shop and writing children's books. In fact, he just released a new interactive children book, Nile Goes to the Barbershop, in which he donates half of the proceeds to charity to help immigrant families. We got to chat with him about the inspiration for his book, what it was like playing a memorable, albeit unlikeable, villain on a popular show, how he handles being "eye candy" and interacting on Instagram, what it's like getting acting roles as a person of color, his limit for acting in sex scenes, ideal roles and genres, and upcoming projects.
Actors tend to get all the glory since they are the face of creative projects, but there would be no movies or shows without the creators, writers, producers, and directors. It’s our honor to showcase the creative minds behind the scenes on our podcast that aren’t usually recognized.
Retired adult performer, Mr. Plus 1, gave us the real scoop on BDSM in this episode. If you've watched or read the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy and become curious about something other than vanilla sex--this is your chance to learn from a real Daddy Dom. Sure, we discuss horror films and why Thanos was right, but Mr. Plus1 also gives us a glimpse in to his 24/7 lifestyle, along with how he got involved in being the porn talent AND owner of his own XXX production company (Royale Entertainment Studios). As "Head Motherfucker In Charge", Mr. Plus1 also lets us know his favorite scenes to watch, shoot, which ones sell best, and what it takes to work with him.
If you love clowns-- especially, if you know they're sexy-- this is the episode for you. During our interview with Willy Vodka, the "Big Red" Creepy Hollow Haunted House clown, it got weird in the best way. Willy describes what it's like to haunt for the haunted house, how he became Willy Vodka, his funniest haunt stories, what an evening out with him and vodka is like, the history of clowns, and other clowns he looks up to. You can catch him at Creepy Hollow Haunted House from Sept. 13th to Nov. 2nd this year. Also, follow him on FB, IG, Twitch, and Youtube.
We were blown away during our interview with Actor, Director, Producer, and Writer, Jeffrey Reddick. His work on the Final Destination movie franchise (Stephen King named the first one in his top 22 favorite films of all times list), The Final Wish (starring Michael Welch), Dante's Cove (a revolutionary gay horror series), Midnight, Texas (based on the Charlaine Harris book series, starring hottie, Francois Arnaud), Tamara (starring timeless beauty, Jenna Dewan), and Day of the Dead (starring multi-talented, Nick Cannon), are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Jeffrey's brilliance and passion for creating horror films.
Tune in for tips on writing a great screenplay, why Jeffrey's proud to be out in the LGBT+ community, how he comes up with deliciously deviant ways to kill people onscreen, what it's like to blend sex and horror in a script, and his thoughts on diversity in Hollywood and male full frontal nudity. Look out for Jeffrey's upcoming movie, Good Samaritan, based on a character in his 2014 short. Also, look out for his work with our previous guest, Digger Mesch, on the upcoming movie, Fire Woman.
Horror films wouldn't be so terrifying without special effects, makeup, animatronics, and prosthetics. That's why Dicey and Chantell were excited to interview award-winning special makeup effects artist, producer, and director, Vincent Guastini, to talk all about it. With his extensive filmography, you're bound to have watched his work in one, two, or ten films (Cabin Fever 3: Patient Zero, I, Frankenstein, World War Z, I Am Legend, Letters from Iwo Jima, Scary Movie 4, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Children of the Living Dead, Requiem For a Dream, Dogma, The Last of the Mohicans, Child's Play 3, The Final Wish...) and known many of the professionals he's worked with. Tune in to our discussion about how Vincent carved out his own destiny by doing what he loves, which of his visuals freaked out movie-goers AND people on set, what it was like working with Kevin Smith and Clint Eastwood, tips for artists interested doing special effects work, what to expect from Vincent's latest movie: Rock, Paper, Scissors (coming July 23rd), and whether he's used one of his masks during sex.
Author Michelle Pace joined Dicey and Chantell on this episode to discuss her new romantic suspense book, True Gold, what it was like meeting super hot and super talented actors, Jason Momoa and Jensen Ackles, her transition from indie to traditional publishing, why she prefers writing romance with grit, and her go-to Pornhub category . *True Gold will be released July 2nd. You can pre-order it now.*
Dicey and Chantell get personal with Digger Mesch--an artist, writer, producer, actor, and creator of The Fire Woman, Other Dead, Agent 88 and Minimates Toys. Digger's big personality cannot be contained during this discussion about his horror projects, why doggy style is his favorite sex position, his most recent embarrassing moment, whether moving to LA is necessary for a career in entertainment, his love for Nepal, and muuuch more. Try not to laugh too hard as you enjoy this episode. Thank you for listening, subscribing, leaving us messages, and joining the extended discussion in our FB group.
