In this episode, Pastor Cogbill sits down with our Family Camp speaker, Alastair Roberts to discuss his talks on a theology of the sexes. In an age where the objective nature of a person's sex is being questioned, how ought Christians to think about the issue? To what degree is feminism to blame for the issues we're facing? How can we recover a biblical theology of the sexes? How does or doesn't that fit with all the talk about the need to recover masculinity and femininity, especially in our circles? Tune-in to find out!

  • Wise Marriages
This week we will conclude our study of wise relationships by studying what the proverbs teach concerning marriage. Marriage relationships provide a fundamental pathway for wise relationships in all of life. They can lead us to wisdom more priceless than gold, silver, and ultimately, into eternal life. Conversely, foolish marriages lead us down the path of folly, deeper and deeper into sin and misery. By seeking to maintain the oneness of our covenant of marriage as we embark on our spiritual journey, we lead ourselves deeper and deeper into the wisdom of God, the life of God, and the love of the Father, Son and Spirit. This sermon will touch on issues related to sexual intimacy. Words such as sex and pornography may be used. Due to the sensitive nature of these topics, we will expand our children's class during the sermon to include older children. If you wish for your child to attend that class, then simply release them at the appropriate time.

  • The Transgender "Gospel"
The sermon condemns transgenderism as a false gospel that promises liberation but delivers only corruption and suffering through medical mutilation. It argues that biological sex is a divine design that cannot be changed, asserting that chasing gender affirmation leads to eternal dissatisfaction rather than happiness. The preacher contrasts this empty pursuit with the true satisfaction found only in Jesus Christ, who offers genuine redemption and transformation. Emphasizing the urgency of spiritual awakening, the message warns against societal desensitization to sin and calls for immediate repentance. Ultimately, it presents faith in Christ as the sole path to lasting fulfillment and escape from God's coming judgment.

  • 01 - The Prophecy of Amos: Introduction
The ancient world around Israel was saturated with the idol worship representing gods of sex, money, power, and war. Both the Southern Kingdom of Judah and the Northern Kingdom of Israel succumbed to these temptations, but the worst was the Northern Kingdom of Israel. What happened when God's people confused outward success with spiritual faithfulness? Hear Amos expose the false security of prosperity and the deadly pull of idolatry. Measure justice and righteousness by God's standard, not the changing values of the culture. Listen to the Lion who roars before judgment falls and respond while His grace is still extended. Rest in the hope that the God who warns His people also promises future restoration through the Messiah.
