Freud said the opposite, that our spiritual longings are frustrated sexual desires. He was confused. And our culture is even more confused about sexuality, identity, body image, and gender.
Which makes it super hard to raise kids! But there is hope! Brad Klaver of Winning At Home joins the team to show us how to have an ongoing conversation about the beauty of sex and the wonder of being created in God’s image.
Perry shares, “My dad didn’t know how to talk with me about sex cause his dad had passed before he was 10.” Then the sex conversation begins with teaching our kids that they are God’s beautiful works of art.
Next, if as parents we are sexually broken, how in the world do we have healthy conversations about sex with our kids? (This is where the gospel comes in!) Then, the art of asking your kids the right questions so they feel safe to open up and share with you what they’re feeling.
Last, a Perry and Shawna listener says, “My 13 year old daughter’s girlfriend just told her that she has a crush on my daughter. How do I help my daughter and her friend navigate this. It’s so hard!” Please share this show if you’re encouraged by it!
