  • Male and Female Created He Them
This sermon examines the divine intent for marriage and gender roles as established in Genesis 2, arguing that the creation of a 'helper suitable' for man reflects a complementary rather than identical design. The speaker contrasts the fallen world's tendency toward divorce and sexual immorality with God's original command for men and women to become one flesh, emphasizing that this union serves as a stabilizing force for society. Drawing on Paul's teachings in 1 Corinthians and 1 Timothy, the message asserts that hierarchical authority within marriage mirrors the relationship between Christ and the Father, calling men to lead with sacrificial responsibility and women to submit with grace. The sermon concludes by urging believers to embrace this biblical framework, asserting that despite the distortions of the fall, God's design for stable, committed marriage remains 'very good' and essential for human flourishing.

  • What is Your Opinion Based On?
Have you ever met someone who had a strong opinion about a controversial topic? For instance, someone might believe in reincarnation, a woman's right to abortion for any reason, the need for reparations for descendants of American slaves, freedom of speech, the legitimacy of socialism/communism, the need for unity among Christian denominations, illegal immigration, the right to free healthcare, medical benefits, and food assistance, perverse views about human sexuality, that evolution is the best explanation for how we got here, the right to defend your family with a deadly weapon, how to raise a family, or who is the best college football team. All of these ideas have been expressed by different people at different times, but are they right?

  • Truth Beneath the Headlines: A Biblical Worldview for a Confused Culture
Cultural controversies change constantly, but the worldview beneath them remains the same: humanity's rejection of God's authority to define reality. Christians are called to resist compromise and cruelty, renew their minds through God's Word, speak truth in love, and rest in the reign of Christ. • 1 Thess Chapter 4, Part 3
Dan addresses Paul's exhortation in 1 Thessalonians to avoid sexual immorality, focusing on the theological basis of God's call to holiness and the empowering work of the Holy Spirit. It argues that believers are not merely following moral rules but responding to a divine initiative that began at conversion, emphasizing the distinction between the Mosaic and New Covenants. By examining passages from 2 Corinthians, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel, the message highlights the New Covenant promise of an internal transformation where God writes His law on the heart and provides the Spirit to enable obedience. The tone is instructional and encouraging, urging believers to rely on the Spirit's power to put to death the deeds of the flesh rather than relying on their own strength. This perspective frames sanctification as a cooperative effort where the Spirit enables the believer to engage in the daily battle against sin.

  • Dangerous Advancement of AI Pt. 2
Without question, AI has been developing at lightning speed. AI leaders have warned of safety dangers and are advocating for guardrails. President Trump has said those warnings are a "sick conspiracy" and is opposed to the guardrails as he sees the United States being at risk due to China's advancement. Meanwhile, there are concerns over the dangerous advancement of AI. There are concerns that AI will be used to design new viruses. Humans are having romantic relationships and conversations with AI. AI is producing explicit sexual materials even of minor children. Just two weeks ago, a federal appeals judge in Wisconsin ruled the 1st Amendment protects a person's right to privately possess child sexual abuse material created using AI as long as it does not depict a real person and stays at home. In California, a father indicates AI turned itself into a confidant for his 16-year old son, and then became a suicide coach. In another case, a young teenager used ChatGPT for Murder Fantasies before taking the life of his mother and his brother. Criminals are using AI to advance their fraud. Keep in mind the Apostle Paul warned Timothy about the perilous times in the last days and warned in II Timothy 3:13, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. With President Trump believing that AI must keep moving forward and some AI experts calling for guardrails to be set up, who's right? What does AI itself say about its own consequences? What is the ultimate end of AI? Is this all about immortality and mankind taking the place of God? What do we know about the romantic relationships some people are having with AI?

  • Pleasing God
This sermon examines the four commands Paul gives in 1 Thessalonians 4 regarding how believers are to walk pleasing to God. The primary focus is on the command for sexual purity, which is presented not as a cultural suggestion but as a direct divine mandate that sets Christians apart from the surrounding culture. The exposition highlights that this sanctification is the will of God, contrasting the holiness of believers with the lustful practices of the Gentiles. Additionally, the message addresses the commands for brotherly love, living quietly, and working with one's hands, emphasizing that these behaviors demonstrate a distinct witness to outsiders. The tone is instructional and pastoral, urging the congregation to pursue these virtues with increasing intensity rather than settling for mere maintenance of their faith.
