Can Christians appreciate nude art? The Roman Catholic and fine art traditions think so. But is nudity really ok as long as it's "non-erotic" and "artistic?" Kevin Swanson and Joshua Schwisow investigate what scripture has to say about public nudity, shame, and lust. They discuss: - Is the body – God's creation – intrinsically shameful? - What the Bible says about uncovering nakedness…and what we all know to do when it happens accidentally. Should our response be any different when it's on purpose? - The problem with lust, and why coveting sexual fulfillment in images is sin – even if they're not of real people - What the church fathers said about the Roman statues we now consider so artistic - The connection between demonization and nudity, and how missionaries living among unclothed native peoples dealt with it Got a topic you want us to cover?
