  • Love Surrenders Rights
The sermon explores the theme of love voluntarily surrendering its rights for the spiritual good of others, drawing primarily from 1 Corinthians 8. It contrasts Christian liberty with legalism and emphasizes that true maturity is demonstrated through self-denial rather than the assertion of personal freedoms. Christ serves as the supreme example of this surrender, having laid aside His glory to redeem humanity. The message urges believers to maintain an eternal perspective, recognizing that their actions significantly influence weaker brothers and sisters in faith. Ultimately, the preacher calls for a balance of truth and compassion, encouraging the church to build bridges of love rather than dividing over non-essential matters.

  • I Want to Be Loved
This sermon explores the human desire to be loved, identifying it as a natural but potentially dangerous ruling desire when it seeks fulfillment through sinful means such as sexual immorality, manipulation, or people-pleasing. Pastor Aaron argues that true satisfaction and security are found exclusively in Christ's matchless love, which is demonstrated through His sacrifice and intercession. By comprehending the breadth of Jesus' love, believers can overcome the fear of rejection and the need for external validation. This internal security empowers individuals to love others unconditionally and vulnerably, reflecting God's character rather than seeking to extract affection from people. Ultimately, the message calls listeners to rest in the sufficiency of Christ's love as the foundation for a holy and fulfilling life.

  • Proverbs 7:21-23 • One Night. Twenty Years in a Wheelchair.
Proverbs 7:21-23 — A blind man asked a soldier one question with his pencil: is one night worth twenty years in a wheelchair? Solomon asked young men the same question 3,000 years earlier. This teaching addresses one of the most urgent topics facing young men today: the true cost of sexual temptation and the false advertising sin uses to sell it. If you're a young man facing temptation, a parent trying to warn your son, or someone who has already walked through that door and is wondering if there's still a way forward, this message from Proverbs 7:21-23 was preached for you. Solomon paints a young man walking toward a woman's house in the dark, sold on four promises: her husband is gone, the trip is long, there won't be any interruptions, and no one will ever know. Every word she tells him is true — but she leaves out everything that matters. She never mentions the slaughtered ox, the public stocks, or the dart waiting for his liver. Sin never advertises itself honestly. This message walks verse by verse through Proverbs 7:21-23, using three pictures — the ox, the fool in the stocks, and the bird hasting to the snare — to show how temptation moves from flattery to bondage without ever announcing what it's really costing. It closes with real hope for anyone who has already walked through that door: God completely forgives, even on the nights the body is still paying for what the soul no longer owes. This teaching covers: - Why sin never advertises itself honestly — it shows the front end, never the back end - The ox that walks calmly to slaughter, content instead of afraid - The public shame of "the stocks" and why private correction now beats public correction later

  • Liberty Under Lordship
The sermon explores the tension between Christian liberty and the responsibility to protect weaker believers from spiritual harm. It emphasizes that freedom in Christ is not a license for selfishness but a call to govern actions by love and the Lordship of Jesus. The preacher warns against allowing personal rights to become stumbling blocks that cause others to fall into sin or apostasy. By examining the context of 1 Corinthians, the message highlights that influence through example often carries more weight than verbal instruction. Ultimately, true spiritual maturity is demonstrated by willingly limiting one's freedom to preserve the faith and well-being of others.

  • Table Manners Part 2
PM sermons are preceded by a Confessional, Catechism, Historic Creed lesson, or a lesson from the NT (Usually 5 minutes or so) WLC Q177: Wherein do the sacraments of baptism and the Lord's supper differ? A177: The sacraments of baptism and the Lord's supper differ, in that baptism is to be administered but once, with water, to be a sign and seal of our regeneration and ingrafting into Christ, and that even to infants; whereas the Lord's supper is to be administered often, in the elements of bread and wine, to represent and exhibit Christ as spiritual nourishment to the soul, and to confirm our continuance and growth in him, and that only to such as are of years and ability to examine themselves. 1 Cor 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, 2 all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, 3 all ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. 5 But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. 6 Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted. 7 And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, "The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play." 8 Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell; 9 nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; 10 nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer....
