  • God's Declaration About Ungodly Behavior
The sermon emphasizes the sharp distinction between believers and the world by examining Ephesians 5:3-7. It argues that genuine faith produces a changed attitude toward sin, characterized by grief over wrongdoing rather than indifference. The text condemns sexual immorality, covetousness, perversity and foolishness in speech as evidence of spiritual death and idolatry. A dangerous deception is identified in the cultural trend that separates belief from behavior, ignoring God's righteous wrath against disobedience. True salvation results in a militant war against sin and a clear walk as children of light.

  • Holiness in the Covenant Community
This sermon explores how belonging to God's covenant community transforms daily conduct in social, spiritual, and economic realms. Drawing from Deuteronomy 23, the text emphasizes protecting the vulnerable by recognizing their inherent dignity as image-bearers of God. It further calls for personal holiness in worship, rejecting any connection between sacred acts and sexual immorality. Additionally, it instructs believers to practice generosity toward those in need rather than exploiting them for financial gain. Ultimately, these distinct areas of life are unified by the gospel, urging Christians to reflect God's grace through holy living and compassionate service.

  • Galatians #29: The Corrupt Heart Delights in The Works of the Flesh
The sermon examines the conflict between the sinful nature and the Holy Spirit through an exposition of Galatians 5:19-21. It categorizes the works of the flesh into sexual, religious, social, and self-indulgent sins to provide a stark contrast with the fruit of the Spirit. The preacher emphasizes that the law cannot make believers holy but only reveals sin, while the Holy Spirit applies Christ's work to transform lives from within. Victory over these sinful desires is presented as an absolute certainty for those who walk in communion with the Spirit rather than relying on their own strength. The message concludes by warning that persistent unrepentant practice of these works indicates a lack of saving faith, while offering encouragement to those who struggle but look to Christ for sanctification.

  • Defining the Christian Family
The sermon challenges parents to intentionally define their Christian family identity by grounding household standards in the Ten Commandments rather than arbitrary rules. It emphasizes that true godliness stems from a genuine walk with God and internalized values, not merely external compliance or participation in religious programs. The speaker warns against hypocrisy, noting that children rebel when they perceive a disconnect between parental teachings and their own behavior. Key themes include honoring parents, maintaining sexual purity, avoiding theft, and cultivating contentment as essential components of a godly home atmosphere. Ultimately, the message asserts that parents must model a life of faith to effectively influence their children's spiritual formation.
