Clinical research is the backbone of advancing cancer care, and advanced practitioners are at the heart of it. This episode breaks down the fundamentals of clinical research, from study types and trial phases to key terms such as protocol, principal investigator, endpoints, informed consent, and hazard ratio. ADC use is expanding, and APPs play a central role in counseling patients and in identifying and managing toxicities. This episode explores the evolving role of antibody-drug conjugates in gynecologic cancer treatment and highlights current evidence, clinical application and future directions for improving patient outcomes.
