In episode 52, Sam Francart continues the study in the book of Revelation, with a focus on Revelation 16:1-21. This is the third of the three sets of judgments. First came the seals (6:1-8:5), then the trumpets (8:6-11:19), and finally the bowls (16:1-21). These bowl judgments are similar to the trumpet judgments in that they affect every part of the world. They also reenact the plagues of Egypt as recorded in Exodus 7-12. The Egyptian plagues have the same purpose as the bowls: to prove to the world that God is all-powerful.
