Fanny Singer is a writer, editor, and author of the new book Always Home: A Daughter's Recipes & Stories, a cookbook and culinary memoir about growing up as the daughter of food icon and activist Alice Waters. Always Home chronicles Singer's life at Chez Panisse, her mother's famed farm-to-table Berkeley restaurant that opened in 1971, and their travels around the world, weaving in delicious recipes, mouth-watering traditions and charming depictions of Waters.
