BJ was one of those sounds of my childhood, starting with the 52nd Street album and then the Greatest Hits Volume I & II gatefold vinyl that must have been issued on the NHS as virtually everybody had a copy.

I first saw him in Birmingham in the late 80s, and then again a couple of years later on the Stormfront Tour and he remains one of the greatest Arena (if not the greatest) performers I have ever seen.

The lyric for Shades of Grey slots perfectly into my Monday moment for this week, and it's a corker of a track to boot. Boom.
