Marc H. Morial is President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Urban League, the nation's largest historic civil rights and urban advocacy organization.
As a Louisiana State Senator (1992–94), Morial was Chairman of the Educational Institution Subcommittee and a member of the Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus.
Morial was Mayor of New Orleans, Louisiana (1994-2002). He was the youngest Mayor of New Orleans in 50 years and at the time was one of the youngest mayors of any major American city. Mayor Morial led New Orleans’ renaissance and left office with a 70% approval rating.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Economics and African American Studies, he also holds a law degree from Georgetown University.
