I finally went in on this one to share what's been coming up for me after the Roe vs. Wade overturn. I am shaken to the core and reflecting on the places where as a woman I too keep exploiting other women and deem them incompetent. There's more underneath this for me.

It's people like Shereene that continuously remind me of the power in community. She's the energy you want in your corner as you're doing big things. I've learned a lot about the importance of uplifting my people as I move forward in life.  This episode she openly shares her full human experience as a Creative Hype Coach and all the pieces that make her work in this world so needed.

I was exhausted in my business until I let my Rebel out of her cage to run the show. The relief my body felt was enough to bring in a whole new life.  Accepting my whole self fully was the very key I needed to unlock the life I was truly desiring. The people who saw me in my wholeness wanted to love me and the people who were repelled by the person I was becoming walked away. 

To be on this Earth with your body and doing your best to welcome all parts of you is not easy work.  The loss is sometimes unbearable because event though you choose yourself, others may not agree with your choices. It gets confusing when the people you love the most only want to see the parts of you that make them comfortable.

This is why I do this work. I am not a business coach, but if you want to find your purpose and go after your dreams, you are going to have to look at the places that stop you from showing up as yourself. And when you acknowledge these pieces of you, your journey through business becomes effortless. The message you deliver is clear. And the inspiration and creativity is endless.

It is overwhelming to acknowledge how much my anger and alcohol addiction has impacted my life and the lives of others. After years of guilt and shame around this topic, I began to understand that I am nowhere near alone when it comes to the repression of intense emotions. It is becoming more and more clear to me that people are begging to release the intergenerational trauma and wounded stories that we carry within our bodies.

This episode dives into my family history and the common thread of anger and alcoholism. I share my moment of profound healing at an ashram in India while meditating in silence.  How I have cut chords with the entity of alcohol is beyond my ability to comprehend, but I know it is possible. Recovery looks different for everyone. And this is my story.

I did not expect Jess to follow through with the date we set for the podcast recording. She had just unexpectedly separated from her partner and was tender AF. When she sent me a text message to confirm she was coming, I knew our conversation would be special.

It's not that I needed her to be vulnerable for the session, but there is undoubtedly something so empowering when a woman shows up authentically. Even in her pain.

I never imagined myself talking so openly about the struggles in my own relationship. Why in the hell would I want anyone to know that my marriage is anything but perfect?! Oh ya, because that is the hard truth for all of us. But no one talks about it.
