Interim Change of Command. The Durham File investigates. This 5 part hearing is a Le Carre classic example of foreign agencies destabilizing government and the functions of good governance. In a classic destabilization scenario the target government in heightened paranoia and blame game turns on itself and does all the dirty work. Outside agents just watch and wait. Bungled and manipulated investigations from the FBI-CI teams weighted the checks and balances to collapse the balance of the three seats of government in a "house of cards." The Durham File makes good on calling to account what happens when national CI breaks agency ranks and does the wrong job. The dangerous effects shown in public forum. Le Carre and Ian Fleming are two well regarded authors in the genre. A large number of television FBI and joint law-enforcement CI dramas in organized crime, corrupt investigations and political landscapes also cover the subject. Someone was looking for dirt, someone volunteered dirt, the spy ambassador in D.C. made the rounds to both parties, the covert agent lawyer compromised the general who was a registered foreign agent, the sons met the covert agent in a posh hotel, the dirt was the abandonment of u.s. state department brokered adoptions in transnational trafficking by the given account, the investigation on the investigation eavesdropped on the second party blocks from Watergate weeks before the presidential election, the young politico was lured to Moscow with the offer of an all expenses paid trip to give a lecture then framed, the FBI and CIA had all signed a letter and gone public, Moscow had read all the books and emulated the golden style, the Secretary of State was despised, the stage was set and the table was laid...all real life plots established in The Steele Dossier, the investigation on the investigation that led to the investigation done by the Durham Files.
