    MEET THE GUEST:

Lauren Trantham's superpower is fierce tenderheartedness. Just imagine an elite ninja crossed with a hopeful romantic and you can understand her personality! She believes in black coffee, dark beer, shooting straight liquor, and that true strength lies in vulnerability.

When she is not riding her motorcycle or traveling the world she is helping entrepreneurs find their authentic message so they can grow their business by getting real.

    • Authentic Media Training (Website)

    EPISODE SUMMARY:
    • Being authentic in social media is something I talk about a lot. Lauren and I share our thoughts about what we see on other people's social media accounts. Are what we are seeing their highlight reel or is it truly their REAL self?

"The power of vulnerability really unites people." - Lauren Trantham

    • Lauren talks on how much you can be vulnerable online and not come off as being negative. Real life can be hard sometimes but what Lauren does best is try to share her struggles as an inspiration for others.
    • Look at authenticity as a purpose and an obligation to help the world. Your story matters and needs to be heard!
    • When it comes to sharing your story, what should you share and what shouldn't you share? Lauren and I don't always talk about everything in our lives, especially if it's about someone else. That's their story to share.

"When women can be authentic and open in real life, it really helps create better relationships." - Jennifer Rozenbaum

    • How can you tell if someone is being real on social media? Lauren shares some of the cues she pays attention to. She says it's about consistency with that person's message.
    • Are all big-time influencers fake?! As a New Yorker, I am a skeptic and I questions everything! But, comparing ourselves to the influencers can be terrible on your self-esteem. Lauren talks about noticing your feelings when you're scrolling through Instagram.
    • Should you have a curated feed? When I see "perfect" social media feeds, I call bullshit! Does it attract more followers? Maybe, but that's not what I'm about. But, it also depends on what you do. If you're trying to be vulnerable and be real, the perfect curated feed doesn't work.

"Unfollow anyone that doesn't make you happy when you're scrolling through your feed!" - Jennifer Rozenbaum

  • Ep 36: Less But, More Butt with Jen Rozenbaum
    • I am excited to bring you a solo episode this week! I plan to bring more of just me and my thoughts as well as continuing to talk with amazing guests. If you have suggestions on what you'd like to hear, please don't be afraid to email me at [email protected]!
    • Today, I want to talk about "more butt, less but". As many of you know, I am a boudoir photographer and what I mean by that statement is that I want to see more butt and fewer excuses that we make to ourselves.

"Whatever you're thinking about in your head, it's probably not true!" - Jen Rozenbaum

    • I see this so often in my line of work! We are making all kinds of excuses and are afraid to get out of our comfort zones. Now, it can be difficult to do, I know! But, the only time you'll grow and learn what you're are capable of is by getting uncomfortable and stepping out from behind those barriers.

"See what you're made of, girl!" - Jen Rozenbaum

    • Where are you making excuses in your life? Are those excuses preventing you from going after what you really want? Tell those voices to shut up! I'm guilty of this mindset as well. For example, I am publishing a book and I really had to step out of my comfort zone in this process. I had moments when I told myself, "I'm not qualified, I don't have a degree in this", but the truth is, I have valuable life experience that has to be heard! So, ask yourself, "are those excuses really true?"

"Get out there and do something uncomfortable today!" - Jen Rozenbaum

  • Ep 35: Embrace Your Age and Still Have a Great Sex Life with Brooke Christian

In 2015, postpartum depression left Brooke searching for an identity beyond parenting and partnering. Like many, she felt a sexier self was underneath her other roles but no one was helping her, nor her peers, access it. Brooke decided to give moms just like her what they secretly craved: honest, open conversation about the struggles of staying sexy amid the craziness of a busy life. Brooke connects with women quickly and potently. Why? Because she's just like them: a frazzled mom, a busy wife, a woman who struggles with her post-baby body daily. Her blog, social media posts and speaking engagements produce an inspiring chorus of "me toos!" from women across the country who are desperate to be heard, understood and most of all, lifted up. Having formerly run marketing & promotions at top women's magazines like InStyle, Harper's Bazaar and O, The Oprah Magazine, Brooke leverages her former role as a fashion and beauty influencer to not only change women's sex lives but to change women themselves. Oh yeah, and she's addicted to vibrators.

    • What does being "old" even mean? Brooke and I share our thoughts on when we turned 40 and how it doesn't mean that you're "old"! Do whatever makes you feel great, no matter how old you are.

    • Valerie helps entrepreneurial moms break through their self-defeating patterns and gives tips on how to deal with the negative thoughts that may come up. One tip is to have a conversation with your people, especially your spouse, around supporting each other.
    • How can you set healthy boundaries for yourself? Valerie says that it starts with knowing who you are! If you don't know who you are and what you want, it's impossible to set healthy boundaries. When you have that disconnect of not knowing who you are, people can't treat you the way that you feel you should be treated. This can cause us to go into survival mode and feel like we are just getting by.
    • Are you watching how you react to certain situations? Just like many of us, I am guilty of sometimes reacting in a way that doesn't align with who I am, and I can spend days beating myself up for my reaction. Valerie and I talk more about how to approach this by simply starting a conversation with yourself. Did you react a certain way because you're actually fearing something?
    • We hear a lot of talk on meditation, yoga, self-care, and waking up early, etc. You don't have to do all of it to feel that you're taking care of yourself. You don't have to wake up early if you're not a morning person. Do self-care in a way that works best for you!
